The Research School of Earth Sciences (RSES) originated from the Department of Geophysics at The Australian National University. It expanded into geophysics and geochemistry, contributing to major developments in Earth Sciences, including Plate Tectonics. RSES has a rich history of research and teaching, with notable achievements and contributions to the field.
The Jaeger-Hales Lecture is a prestigious biennial event to honour the foundational contributions of Professors Jaeger and Hales.
