Emeritus Professor Brian Kennett will be turning 75 on 7 May, and to honour his birthday plus 50+ years of his work in Geophysics, we are holding a Symposium in the Shine Dome on Monday 8th May and Tuesday 9th May, commencing at 9.00 am until 5.00 pm both days.

Emeritus Professor Brian Kennett will be turning 75 on 7 May, and to honour his birthday plus 50+ years of his work in Geophysics, we are holding a Symposium in the Shine Dome on Monday 8th May and Tuesday 9th May, commencing at 9.00 am until 5.00 pm both days.
Everyone affiliated with RSES is invited to attend any of the sessions if they wish over the two days, as the upstairs viewing area in the Ian Wark Theatre has extensive seating arrangements. Although you won’t be officially registered for the event, you are very welcome to attend the presentations.
Please note that Brian will be giving the final address on Tuesday, 9 May, at 4.35 pm, entitled “Understanding the seismic wavefield – a personal perspective.”
