Wear it Purple strives to foster supportive, safe, empowering and inclusive environments for rainbow young people. Wear it Purple is an organisation that was founded in 2010, as a result of the high number of LGBTA+ individuals who took their own lives following bullying and harassment resulting from the lack of acceptance of their sexuality or gender identity. This year’s theme for Wear it Purple is “Start the conversation… and keep it going!” with the aim to foster inclusive schools and workplace environments.
