About
I am a PhD student at the RSES who is fortunate to have found a home here with the Geodynamics group. From Earth science to Boetticher's coffee, I have many and broad scientific interests that have an impact on our society. My research has the overarching goal of addressing the ever-growing demand for critical metals, which are the building blocks for low-carbon technologies and infrastructure. Much of these are hosted in sedimentary basins, and in my PhD I will be dissecting the basins of northern Australia to better understand their evolution and architecture, and the timing of mineralisation. This entails blending together geophysical methods, numerical modelling, geological observations and geochemical techniques to develop a basin-formation framework that can be applied towards exploration in frontier basins.
I grew up in food haven Kuala Lumpur and have since moved to Canberra for university. I enjoy football, cooking up new recipes and running my excellent geology meme page on Instagram (@Geodoughnut). I do not like Cherry Ripes or celery.
