About
My current research focus is in geodynamics (thermodynamics of the solid Earth). I'm working to advance our understanding of seismic anisotropy --- the variation of seismic wave speed with polarization/propagation direction --- which is observed in Earth's mantle. I employ novel shear-wave splitting methods and careful numerical modelling of crystallographic preferred orientation to infer expected anisotropic patterns in the upper mantle.
