Research interests
My research interests are in economic geology and ore deposits, particularly the processes that control the formation and evolution of precious and critical mineral deposits, including rare earth elements (REEs). I enjoy combining analytical, experimental, and computational methods to better understand how these deposits form and evolve. I am also interested in interdisciplinary research, especially nanogeoscience, because many ore-forming processes begin at the nanoscale and cannot be detected using conventional petrographic or geochemical techniques. Studying minerals at this scale provides a unique opportunity to better understand mineral growth, fluid–rock interactions, and the processes that concentrate economically important elements.
