Edgar Leong

PhD Candidate

I am a PhD student working with the Geodynamics group at the RSES. During my Honours year, I explored the spatiotemporal distribution of several high-grade mineral systems with respect to lithospheric structure and sedimentary basin evolution. My PhD research aims to address the pronounced demand for a low-carbon future and unravel the architecture and history of prominent resource-rich sedimentary basins, whose formation mechanisms remain a great enigma.

I grew up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and I enjoy football, playing the guitar and trying new cooking recipes. I do not like Cherry Ripes or Turkish Delights.
