My main research focus is on ocean energetics, and on the different routes through which energy gets transferred from the mesoscale to smaller dissipative scales.   For my PhD, I will use numerical simulations to study the propagation and reflection of near inertial internal waves, and ultimately analyse how these internal waves can contribute to mixing in the ocean interior.
