Projects using GRACE Follow-On Space Gravity Data
GRACE Follow-On is a space gravity mission that tracks mass transport on Earth, informing us of global sea level rise, melting of polar ice sheets and hydrological processes
Space gravity missions (GRACE, GRACE Follow-On) rely on inter-satellite interferometry measurements to determine mass changes on Earth. Through the inversion of instrument measurement data, monthly estimates of mass changes can be obtained.
Potential projects include:
- improving the accuracy of orbit integrations and subsequent mass change estimates
- studies of hydrological processes in Australia
- mass balance change of polar ice sheets
- ocean mass increase and sea level rise
