SPEC-E facilities are open to researchers within ANU, Australia and abroad. We operate a PROJECT based system, whereby you are invited to submit a brief proposal. For our purposes, a project is a group of activities over a finite time period with specific analytical and research objectives and carried out by an individual or small team of investigators. Projects may include one or more sample types (e.g., different minerals), but they should be complementary and necessary for addressing the research question. Projects may comprise one or several analytical sessions.

It’s important we know your objectives and requirements, so please follow the steps below to initiate a project proposal:

1. Please complete the proposal form. Your responses will be sent to you via email and it is IMPORTANT that you forward this on to penny.king@anu.edu.au.
2. After receipt, Professor King or the lab manager will respond and may ask for clarification. Allow up to a week to get a response and if you do not hear in that time please resend (and accept our apologies - we may be out of the office). 
3. On acceptance, you will be given a project number that is used to track all the information generated. This number will be used in communications with you.
