AuScope Access Grants

A new funding initiative with AuScope to provide access to SPEC-E spectroscopy facilities

Announcing a new funding initiative between the ANU SPEC-E lab and AuScope to support innovative research projects. Funding provides access the necessary access and technical expertise to undertake FTIR spectroscopy and can include sample preparation, spectroscopy analysis and data processing.
 
Applications are invited from researchers who are affiliated with Australian universities, research organizations, government agencies and industry. To apply for access, please complete a project application form available on the home page of the SPEC-E website. 

The grants are intended to facilitate the testing of new ideas and allowing preliminary investigations to be undertaken before other funding is obtained. As such, a maximum of 10 hours will be awarded per researcher. Applications will be assessed by a panel on a quarterly basis and will consider applications based on merit according to the following three criteria: 1. Need, 2. Diversity (including, but not limited to career stage, discipline related to Earth Sciences), 3. Quality of the scientific proposal. Applications are assessed quarterly and should be received prior to 31 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December to be assessed in the following round.
